About Curious Owl
What is Curious Owl
Curious Owl is a self-paced online portal that helps teenagers learn the real-world skills that matter – money, AI, online safety, creating online, first jobs, and more — in short modules they work through at their own pace.
Who is it for?
Young people aged 10–17, with content pitched to two age bands: 10–13 and 14–17.
What will my child get from it?
Practical skills that usually aren’t covered elsewhere — how money works, using AI wisely, staying safe online, earning their first money, getting ready for their first job, and more. New topics added regularly.
Is this like school or tutoring?
No. It’s self-paced content your child explores in their own time, out of genuine interest – no classes, no timetables, no pressure.
How It Works
How does my child access it?
Once you subscribe, your child logs in and can start exploring any topic straight away – on a phone, tablet, or computer.
Do they have to follow a set order?
No. Your child chooses which topics and modules interest them and works at their own pace.
How is progress tracked?
Your child earns Feathers and badges as they finish modules, and can see their own progress. On the Family plan, you can see each child’s progress too.
How long does each module take?
Most take around ten to twenty minutes, plus a short challenge at the end.
Plans & Payments
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel whenever you like and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Yearly and Family plans also include a 7-day money-back guarantee if it is not right for your family.
What if I have more than one child?
The Family plan covers up to three children under one subscription – each with their own login, their own progress, and content pitched to their age.
Is the content suitable for my teen?
Yes. All content is written for teenagers aged 13 to 17 and is free of ads.
Is this a one-off payment or recurring?
It’s an annual subscription. One payment covers a full year, including all new content added during the year. It renews each billing period unless you cancel, and we send a reminder email before renewal.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. The Complete plan for one child is available at AED 69 a month, with no contract, and you can cancel anytime. If you prefer to pay once a year, Complete is AED 499 a year, and the Family plan for up to three children is AED 799 a year.
Is there a free trial?
We do not offer a free trial. Yearly and Family plans include a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment, so you can try Curious Owl with confidence. If it is not the right fit, contact us within 7 days for a full refund.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are handled securely through a trusted payment provider – we never see or store your card details.
Safety & Privacy
Is it safe for my child?
Yes. Safety is central to everything we do. Content is age-appropriate and carefully written, and we keep the information we collect to an absolute minimum.
What information do you collect about my child?
Only what’s needed: your child’s first name, a username and their progress. No photos or other personal details.
Who is the account holder?
You, the parent, are the account holder. Your child has a login, but the account and payment are yours.
